Full time SEN Support Worker required in Bradford

Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant required in Bradford.

Teaching Personnel are working with a special school in Bradford who are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant this term. This is a full time, permanent post, commencing as soon as possible.

The school is located in the Manningham area (BD9) and caters for pupils aged 11-18 with complex needs including Autism, Global Developmental Delay and Severe Learning Disabilities.

You will work closely with the class teacher to provide a differentiated, sensory based curriculum, focusing on improving pupils' communication and self-care skills. You will benefit from training with a leading Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist to support in the delivery of specific programmes to meet the holistic needs of individual students. Alongside supporting pupils to access learning activities, you will be expected to carry out administrative tasks, to attend and contribute to regular meetings and to support pupils with personal care where necessary.

We are seeking individuals with experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs, ideally within a specialist setting. You will have a sound understanding of meeting the holistic needs of SEN learners and will have a calm and flexible approach.
