Full time Learning Support Assistant - November 2019

A secondary school in the Southampton area are looking for a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team for November 2019.

The school has high numbers of pupils from challenging behaviours such as ADHD, ASC and SEMH and have grown their support network to ensure Teachers can deliver to the curriculum for all pupils. You will work closely with your colleagues to create action plans for students across the Key Stage 3-4, taking an active role in implementing a programme that positively encourages pupils to overcome barriers to learning, improve their skills and ultimately raise engagement and attainment in school.

Minimal Requirements:

  • A child workforce DBS on the update service, or one completed through Teaching Personnel
  • Be approachable and engaging with pupils and staff
  • Previous experience with SEN students is preferred, but we will consider those without experience
  • Be able to provide 2 references covering 6 years
