Teacher of French and Spanish for September 2017

  • Graded as Outstanding by Ofsted (2016) in all categories.
  • Suitable for an NQT
  • MPS

The school is a popular and over-subscribed secondary school in the heart of Portsmouth and serves a wide area. It is an Outstanding school (Ofsted 2016) serving a diverse population.

Purpose:

To implement and deliver an appropriate broad, balanced, relevant and

differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area

as appropriate.

 To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a

teacher/form tutor.

To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential. To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.

To share and support the School’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.

To provide extra-curricular opportunities for students.

To promote positive outcomes for MFL in terms of achievement and wider involvement/participation.

The School is looking to appoint a dynamic and ambitious Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages with a passion to teach French and Spanish to start in September 2017. The successful candidate will enjoy the support of an effective group of colleagues in a school committed to achieving the highest standards. NQTs are welcome to apply.
