Job description

Teaching personnel are working with an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school in Darlington who are recruiting an accomplished, full-time French teacher to join their department. If you are experienced and passionate about teaching across KS3 and KS4, then you may be the perfect candidate!

Location: Darlington 

Job Type: Full-Time French Teacher 

Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 (M1 – UPS3 dependant on experience)

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French lessons.
  • Cover a KS3 and KS4 timetable.
  • Create a positive learning environment that promotes language skill development.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress regularly and provide feedback.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and training sessions as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Modern Foreign Languages or related field.
  • Experience teaching MFL to secondary school students.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience teaching French in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour.
  • Passion for languages and teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
