Teacher of Food Technology

Join a vibrant secondary school in Manchester, seeking to appoint a teacher of Food Technology from September 2020. This is a full-time position running until the end of the academic year.

The successful teacher will join the schools Technology department and will take responsibility of delivering KS3 and KS4 Food Technology. They will ensure the highest levels of progress for all pupils and will have a passion for their subject.

The post holder will take responsibility for the following duties:

  • Planning and delivering KS3 and KS4 Food Technology lessons with differentiated outcomes.
  • Monitoring and evaluating pupil progress.
  • Motivating pupils to engage in learning opportunities.
  • Managing behaviour in line with the schools behaviour policy.
  • Ensure the safeguarding, safety and well-being of all pupils.

We are looking for an experienced qualified teacher who has previous experience delivering the KS3 and KS4 National Curriculum. We also welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers.

This large 11-16 secondary school is located a short drive from the surrounding areas of Manchester, Stockport and the High Peak and caters to students to a diverse background of students from all areas. For those who drive, the school has a car park accessible for all staff member.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
