Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans for culinary arts education across diverse student demographics, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to creativity, skill development, and culinary exploration.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive instructional sessions, encompassing fundamental cooking techniques, culinary theory, food safety protocols, and nutritional principles.
  • Facilitate hands-on cooking experiences, guiding students through practical exercises to refine their culinary skills and elevate their culinary creations.
  • Integrate innovative teaching methodologies and instructional technologies to enhance learning outcomes and student engagement.
  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain meticulous records of academic achievements.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to refine curriculum materials, develop instructional resources, and coordinate interdisciplinary learning experiences.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, industry developments, and best practices in the field of culinary arts, incorporating relevant insights into instructional design and delivery.
  • Advocate for healthy eating habits, sustainability practices, and culinary excellence within the educational community and beyond.

Requirements:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent professional certification, demonstrating a commitment to educational excellence.
  • Specialization in culinary arts, gastronomy, hospitality management, or a related field, supported by robust academic credentials and practical experience.
  • Proven track record of successful teaching experience in culinary arts or a closely related discipline, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and industry regulations governing culinary operations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, essential for establishing rapport with students, collaborating with colleagues, and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in instructional design, lesson planning, and pedagogical strategies tailored to the unique needs of culinary learners.
  • A genuine passion for culinary arts education, coupled with a commitment to nurturing talent, fostering creativity, and promoting lifelong learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
