Job description

A welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Christchurch is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Food Technology Teacher to join their Design & Technology department from January 2026. This is a full-time position, offering an exciting opportunity to teach across KS3 and KS4 and to help shape a dynamic and practical curriculum. 

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for Food Technology, bringing lessons to life through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. The school prides itself on fostering creativity, curiosity, and confidence in every student, as well as providing excellent support and professional development for staff.

The ideal candidate will

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent 
  • Have experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting 
  • Be enthusiastic about inspiring students through creative and practical lessons 
  • Be committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning 
  • Work effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative department 
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
