Food Technology or Art Teacher – Secondary School – Christchurch
Start: January 2026 | Full-time or Part-time | Fixed-term (1 Academic Year)
Are you a passionate Food Technology or Art Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity? We’re working closely with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Christchurch that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join their team from January 2026.
The school is open to either a Food Technology or Art specialist, depending on your strengths and experience. This is a fixed-term role for one academic year, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate. Both full-time and part-time applications will be considered.
About the Role:

Teaching KS3 and KS4 students
-
Delivering engaging and creative lessons in either Food Technology or Art

Supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
-
Contributing to a collaborative and supportive department
What the School is Looking For:

A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent)

Ideally 1+ years of teaching experience, although strong ECTs are encouraged to apply

A genuine passion for either Food Technology or Art education

A team player with strong classroom management and communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
