A welcoming and forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a Food Technician to join their team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Food Technology department, helping to deliver engaging and practical lessons to students. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive, and enjoys working in a hands-on educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparing ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical Food Technology lessons

Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the food rooms and preparation areas

Supporting teachers during practical sessions and assisting students when required

Managing stock, ordering supplies, and ensuring health and safety standards are met
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Have previous experience working as a Food Technician or in a similar catering or educational support role

Be organised, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

Have good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
-
Hold (or be willing to obtain) a DBS check

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
