Food Technician

Contract: Full-time, ongoing

A welcoming and forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a Food Technician to join their team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Food Technology department, helping to deliver engaging and practical lessons to students. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive, and enjoys working in a hands-on educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical Food Technology lessons

• Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the food rooms and preparation areas

• Supporting teachers during practical sessions and assisting students when required

• Managing stock, ordering supplies, and ensuring health and safety standards are met

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience working as a Food Technician or in a similar catering or educational support role

• Be organised, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Have good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude

• Hold (or be willing to obtain) a DBS check
