Flexible work as a Cover Supervisor

Cover Supervisors required for flexible working hours within Manchester secondary schools to deliver pre set lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher.

Working as a Cover Supervisor is an excellent way to further your career in education while gaining valuable experience supervising class lessons and delivering pre set lesson plans when planned and unplanned absences arise. As a Cover Supervisor your day will vary dependent on the needs of the school as you step in the shoes of the class teacher and deliver a pre set lesson plan while you supervise the classroom and assist pupils with any individual needs they may have. Due to the work being set and you not delivering any teaching there is no need for a formal teaching qualification, although you must have good general knowledge and a very strong understanding of safeguarding.

• Paid up to £70 a day, dependent on experience and qualifications
• Access to Teaching Personnel's CPD academy to further your development as a Cover Supervisor

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor is preferred however we would welcome applications from those with similar experience, such as those who have worked within a secondary school as a Teaching Assistant or those that have supported young people in a different capacity, particularly if you have experience supporting individuals who show signs of challenging behaviour.
