Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for flexible Cover Supervisors to work within secondary schools based across Stoke-on-Trent. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduates/current students who are considering careers in teaching.

About the role:

  • Start-date: Immediate upon registering with Teaching Personnel
  • Flexible working schedule (pick your days)
  • Competitive daily rate (based off experience)

As a Cover Supervisor, you can specialise in a specific subject, or gain experience across a wide range of subjects as a general Cover Supervisor. You will supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of their class teacher. All work and resources will be pre-prepared, so you must ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and behaviour is maintained, following the schools behaviour policies when necessary.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children in any setting
  • A genuine passion for improving the academic development of young students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both students and other members of staff
  • Able to confidently control a classroom and manage behaviour
  • Safeguarding training to be completed upon registering with Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
