Job Title: Graduate KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Hours: Full-Time (Monday – Friday)

About the Role: Are you a psychology graduate passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as SEN Teaching Assistants in Fleetwood. This rewarding role involves providing tailored support to students with diverse needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with SEN students, offering one-on-one and group support.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to create effective strategies for student progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour.
- Support students in developing social skills and managing behavioural challenges.
Requirements:
- A degree in Psychology or a similar field.
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN and the challenges faced by students with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
