Do you have experience in SEN support, childcare, care work, support work, youth work or social care and are looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day?

At Teaching Personnel, we work in partnership with a large number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Blackpool, Wyre and the Fylde Coast, and we're currently looking for caring, enthusiastic individuals to join us as SEN Teaching Assistants.

Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to transfer your skills from another sector, we would love to hear from you.

What does the role involve?

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll support children with additional learning, behavioural or communication needs within a mainstream primary school environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons
  • Building positive relationships with children and staff
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and social development
  • Assisting children with additional learning needs to achieve their potential
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

If you've supported children, young people or vulnerable individuals in any capacity, your experience could be highly valuable within a school setting.

What We're Looking For

  • A caring, patient and resilient nature
  • Strong communication skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children
  • The ability to build positive relationships quickly
  • Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is desirable
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
