Are you a resilient, patient and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a supportive primary school?

We are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 class in a welcoming primary school in Blackpool. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, offering a temp-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

This role would suit an experienced TA, SEN Support Worker, Learning Support Assistant or Behaviour Support Assistant who is confident supporting children with additional needs and challenging behaviour.

The Role

• Supporting pupils within a Year 1 class with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities
• Providing targeted intervention and emotional support
• Managing challenging behaviour positively and effectively
• Helping pupils develop their social, emotional and academic skills
• Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or support setting
• Experience supporting children with SEN, Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils
• A genuine passion for supporting children's development and education
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are welcomed but not essential
