Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant Vacancy
Pay rate: £14.25 - £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is required

Teaching Personnel are currently partnering with a friendly and inclusive primary school in the Blackpool (FY8) area to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time position.

This rewarding role is due to start as soon as possible and will continue through to the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will provide targeted support to a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to engage with classroom activities, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will play a key role in delivering individualised support and adapting learning activities to meet the child's needs. The position will predominantly be classroom based, although there may be opportunities to deliver interventions in smaller group settings or dedicated learning spaces.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working with children with SEN within a school or similar setting.
  • Be patient, nurturing, and committed to supporting children to reach their potential.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Be confident working alongside teachers and other professionals to implement support strategies.
  • Have a genuine passion for inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
