We are seeking a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This rewarding role involves providing tailored support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

Salary: £14.25 - £15.75 per hour
Contract Type: Long-term

Hours: Full-time 8.30am – 3.30pm
Start Date: Monday 2^nd November 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs throughout the school day.
• Implement strategies and interventions as directed by the class teacher and SENDCO.
• Support the pupil's academic, emotional and social development.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and promote engagement.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Monitor progress and contribute to reviews and records where required.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the pupil.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all times.

You will need:

• Experience of working with children with SEND, either in a school or similar setting.
• A patient, nurturing and empathetic approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• A good understanding of strategies to support pupils with additional needs.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
