Job Advert: EYFS Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
Location: NN17 Area, Northamptonshire
Start Date: Monday, 2nd September 2025
Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term / Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
A warm and nurturing primary school in the NN17 area is looking for a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage team, starting 2nd September 2025.
Role Overview:
You will support the Early Years team in delivering a stimulating and engaging curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of young children aged 3-5 years. You will play a key role in helping children learn through play, develop social skills, and make strong progress in their early learning goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the delivery of the EYFS curriculum across all areas of learning
-
Assisting with planning and preparing activities that promote development in communication, literacy, numeracy, physical and personal skills
-
Supporting individual and small group learning needs
-
Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress and sharing feedback with the team
-
Promoting a safe, inclusive, and caring environment for all children
-
Working closely with the EYFS teacher and wider school team
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
Experience working with children in an Early Years setting
-
Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development principles
-
Patience, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Early Years or Childcare) desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
