Job Advert: EYFS Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
Location: NN17 Area, Northamptonshire
Start Date: Monday, 2nd September 2025
Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term / Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

A warm and nurturing primary school in the NN17 area is looking for a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage team, starting 2nd September 2025.

Role Overview:

You will support the Early Years team in delivering a stimulating and engaging curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of young children aged 3-5 years. You will play a key role in helping children learn through play, develop social skills, and make strong progress in their early learning goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the delivery of the EYFS curriculum across all areas of learning

• Assisting with planning and preparing activities that promote development in communication, literacy, numeracy, physical and personal skills

• Supporting individual and small group learning needs

• Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress and sharing feedback with the team

• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and caring environment for all children

• Working closely with the EYFS teacher and wider school team

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children in an Early Years setting

• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development principles

• Patience, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Early Years or Childcare) desirable but not essential
