EYFS Teaching Assistant

Overview of the Role

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a 1 form entry Primary School in the Heart of Burnley (BB11), that are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work five days per week within the EYFS class/Bubble. This role is to start May 4th 2021 and will be until December to support the current EYFS class who are falling short of expected attainment levels due to the school closures. Due to the school shutdown, the role will entail working with around 10 – 12 children delivering a watered-down curriculum with the class teacher and full-time EYFS TA. The role is expected to be long term, potentially permanent due to the gaps in learning that will be left due to home learning. The school are looking for an experienced EYFS Practitioner; you do not have to have had experience in a school setting, however experience working with young children is essential, possibly in Nursery settings. The school are looking for a practitioner who is Level 2 or 3 qualified or above. The hours will be 8:45 – 15:15, Monday to Friday.

 Headteacher’s Statement

“We are a welcoming school with a very close-knit team. I am currently in search of a motivating EYFS Teaching Assistant to come and work alongside our EYFS teacher and TA. The successful applicant must be experienced and able to think on their feet. The staff at our school are supportive and work closely together to create best practice; we are looking for someone who is able to contribute to that. The team down in EYFS is lovely and you will have the full support from an outstanding class teacher & TA.
