EYFS Teaching Assistant

Are you an Early Years Specialist looking for your next long term opportunity in a primary school? Have you got experience delivering phonics interventions to small groups of children? Are you looking to develop your career in a supportive, primary school environment?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a client primary school in the Rusholme area of Manchester (M14) who is looking to recruit a number of Teaching Assistants to work in their expanding Early Years unit. The available roles are to work in the schools 'larger than average' early years provision alongside dedicate professionals who are dedicated to raising attainment in all areas. The roles will be split across reception and nursery so the school are looking for applicants who are comfortable and confident will all areas of the EYFS curriculum.

The school are dedicated to 'enhancing learning experiences' for their youngest learners and are looking for 3 individuals who will be able to come in and make a difference in the school. Ideally, applicants will have prior experience working in a primary setting, however, candidates with experience working in the EYFS who are willing to adapt and develop will be considered.

This school was graded 'GOOD' by OFTSED at its last inspection and the Early Years was graded 'OUTSTANDING'. As the school is Roman Catholic, they are looking for candidates who will adhere to the strong Roman Catholic ethos of the school! These EYFS TA roles will start after the February half term and will run up until the end of the academic year.

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • Experience supporting in the EYFS
  • The confidence to deliver small group intervention sessions in English, Maths and Phonics
  • A proactive/flexible attitude and a passion for supporting learning for children in the EYFS

For this role, we are able to offer competitive Rates of Pay. This primary school is in the Heart of Manchester and is easily accessible by public transport and by car.
