EYFS Teaching Assistant – Blackburn

Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Blackburn

Length of Role: Summer term – Possible temp to perm

Pay Rate: 14.30 – 16.00 per hour

Type of Setting: Mainstream Primary School

A vibrant primary school in Blackburn is seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to support their early years team throughout the summer term. This role offers the potential to become permanent and is perfect for someone passionate about early childhood development.

You will help deliver engaging activities, support learning through play, and contribute to a nurturing and stimulating EYFS environment. The school is known for its warm atmosphere and child‑centred approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting children across all areas of the EYFS curriculum
Assisting with phonics, early maths and language development
Creating engaging learning spaces
Observing and recording children’s progress
Working collaboratively with the EYFS team

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in an EYFS setting
A creative, energetic and child‑focused approach
Strong understanding of early years development
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
