EYFS Teaching Assistant - Accrington

  • EYFS experience essential
  • You must have good knowledge of Phonics Schemes including Letters & Sounds
  • Full time work from October 2019 until July 2020 on a temporary contract/potential to go permanent.

Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday)

Salary: £9.50 - £11.50 per hour

Start date: October 2019

End date: July 2020 - with a view to becoming a permanent position

A faith Primary School in Accrington requires an EYFS Teaching Assistant. Teaching Personnel have been working with this school for over 3 years and are working closely with the Head Teacher to get a clear understanding of the schools current needs and requirements to ensure they get a suitable new member of staff. The role is one that will require a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is keen to make a difference in the classroom. You must have experience in EYFS and sound knowledge of the EYFS National Curriculum.

The class is average sized with children from varied backgrounds; the majority of pupils are from affluent areas. At the beginning of the academic year children in EYFS require additional support as a number of the children start school 'not school ready'.

These characteristics will include:


- Independent in toileting
- Being able to dress themselves
- Expectations for levels of behaviour
- Confidence and self-esteem
- Communication and language skills
- Critical thinking around learning

The EYFS classroom has a fantastic range of resources, thus providing the children with a wide range of opportunities in the classroom and in outdoor provision.
