EYFS Cover Supervisor

Location: Atherton, Primary SEN 

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Contract: Temporary/Permanent

The setting is a vibrant and inclusive SEN primary school dedicated to providing exceptional education and support for children with special educational needs. Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) program plays a crucial role in laying the foundation for our students' future learning and development.

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Cover Supervisor to join our team. As an EYFS Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing support and supervision to students in our Early Years classrooms, ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment conducive to their development. Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, supporting individual students' needs, and maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support students in EYFS classrooms during teacher absences or when additional assistance is required.
  • Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and classroom activities under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and supported in their learning.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, adapting activities and resources as necessary to meet their individual requirements.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and ensure adherence to school policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and SEN specialists to ensure the holistic development of students.
  • Assist with personal care, as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in Early Years or SEN environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
