EYFS Class Teacher

  • Temporary Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher post
  • Work commences following October half-term holiday
  • Two-form entry, Ofsted graded 'GOOD' primary school
  • Preston-based (PR5)
  • Competitive daily rates of pay: £90 - £160 (dependent on experience)
  • Newly and fully qualified teachers are welcome to apply

The Role

Teaching Personnel, the UK's leading supply agency, are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and engaging Reception class teacher on behalf of a large client school situated in the Bamber Bridge area of Preston. The role is full-time and is expected to continue until the end of the 2019-2020 academic year; however there is potential for a temporary to permanent contract. Due to the school being two-form entry, the successful candidate will be expected to work closely alongside the other Reception class teacher with planning and the organisation of the year group.

The School

The two-form entry primary school in which this role is situated was graded 'GOOD' by Ofsted and is rapidly improving due to the inspiring team of leaders there. Staff morale is high and everyone is focused on raising standards. Behaviour in classrooms was described as 'exemplary' by Ofsted. The pupils have good attitudes to learning and conduct themselves well at all times. The core beliefs of the school centre on providing a happy, safe, secure and supportive learning environment where good order and discipline are preserved to enable each and every pupil to achieve academic and personal excellence.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Recent teaching experience in Early Years and good knowledge of the EYFS areas of learning
