Role: Experienced Teaching Assistant

Schedule: Flexible

Location: Halewood, L26

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Temporary

Pay Rate: £13.75 to £14.50 per hour – depending on experience

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Halewood, and we are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development, and who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative school environment.

About the Role:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to boost academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
  • Assist with planning and delivering targeted interventions.
  • Help maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care and overall development of pupils.
  • Support children with additional needs, including those with EHCPs or SEN requirements.

This role offers the chance to work across different year groups and classrooms, giving you a varied and rewarding experience.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Prior experience working in a primary school setting (KS1 or KS2).
  • A nurturing and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning.
  • Experience delivering interventions in 1:1 and small group settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for education and child development.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) are desirable but not essential.
