Experienced SEN Support – Bristol (BS13)

Full-time | Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm | Long-term position with potential to go direct contract

Teaching Personnel are seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced individual with a background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join one of our fantastic partner schools in the BS13 area of Bristol.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference supporting both primary and secondary-aged pupils, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

About the Role

• Supporting students with a range of SEN needs in a school-based setting.

• Working alongside class teachers, SENCOs and support staff to ensure every pupil receives tailored support.

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm (term time).

• Long-term position with the opportunity to transition to a direct contract with the school.

Requirements

✅ Previous experience working in an SEN or similar support role – ideally in a school or educational setting.
✅ Comfortable working with primary and secondary students.
✅ Ideally must hold a full UK driving licence or happy to travel via Public Transport (due to school location and potential travel between sites).
✅ Team Teach trained or willing to complete this training through Teaching Personnel.
✅ Willing to engage with our CPD Academy – completing modules such as:

• Thrive Approach

• Keeping Children Safe in Education

• Child-on-Child Abuse and Prevention

• Safeguarding & Child Protection

Compliance Requirements

• Must be over 18 years old.

• Able to provide 24 months of employment references, or a character reference (known for at least 12 months) if no employment history.

• Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.

• Must comply fully with our Vetting and Onboarding process to ensure a smooth start.
