Job Title: ESOL Tutor

Location: England, Greater London, Dagenham

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teaching to young learners.
  • Plan and prepare engaging lesson plans tailored to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Assess students' language skills and provide constructive feedback to support their learning progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive learning experience for students.

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., CELTA, CertTESOL).
  • Experience in teaching ESOL to children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.

Education: Degree in English Language Teaching or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching ESOL to adult learners.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Sound understanding of language acquisition principles.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in ESOL or Applied Linguistics.
  • Experience in teaching ESOL online.

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule.
  • Temporary position with the potential for extension.
  • Work within a diverse and multicultural learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
