Enjoy the fun and excitement of teaching again…

Forget the politics of the staff room and the additional responsibilities of full time class teaching…

SUPPLY TEACHING maybe exactly what you are looking for; undertaking a new challenge every day, working in different schools with different children.

This term has kicked off already, supply is at its peak and good quality supply teachers are in high demand. Schools are contacting Teaching Personnel every morning to book in supply teachers to cover emergency staffing absences such as sickness. This is a great opportunity for you to go into different schools and impact on learning every day. There will be challenges with behaviour management and so it is important that you can sure a maturity and use a range of strategies to ensure all the work is completed to the best of the children's ability.

NOT INTERESTED IN EMERGENCY SUPPLY WORK?

If you are not interested in the 'on the morning phone call', then we can help out with that as well. At Teaching Personnel, we appreciate that going to different schools every morning can affect the quality of planning and delivery and so we will try to pre-book supply work as much as possible. We also appreciate that you will have childcare and young families to work around and so we are sensitive to this. We will ensure your availability is considered and we will offer you as much suitable work as possible.

In order to apply for work with Teaching Personnel then it is important that you hold QTS and have recent and relevant experience working in a primary setting. You will be asked to provide at least two education based references from your most recent employer(s). With this, you will need to have a child workforce DBS on the update service which will ensure you are passing vetting to work in Primary Schools.

The rate of pay does vary depending on whether you are Newly or Fully Inducted. You can expect to be paid between £90-£120 per day, based on a 6.5 hour day.

We also have a number of long term and temporary opportunities to offer across the Lancashire area so if you are interested in the long term work then please do not hesitate to contact me in the office on 01772 842154

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
