Job description

We are working with an Oldham based secondary school seeking a full-time individual to tutor English. You will work within the English department tutoring KS4 English and supporting as a teaching assistant. You must hold at least an A-Level in English or above.

The working hours would be 11:00am – 17:00pm Monday to Thursday and 11:00am – 15:00am on Fridays.

Graduates or previous tutors who have a passion for educating will be an ideal fit for the role. This role would be a perfect opportunity for those looking to start or excel their school-based experience, especially those looking to start their PGCE in the future. The school hold an excellent teacher training programme for anyone interested in starting this September.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting students in their learning, enabling them to understand new concepts
  • Set goals for them to work towards
  • Hold a positive relationship with students
  • Ability to work with students of different learning abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
