English teaching role - Tower Hamlets - September 19 - Catholic.

English teaching post at 'Good' Ofsted rated Catholic School in Tower Hamlets for September 2019.

Rate: £125 - £215 per day.

About the role

  • English Teacher (literature or language).
  • Experience teaching English in secondary schools, at KS3-4 level, would be required for this role
  • This role is full-time working 5 days a week; 8:30am - 3:30pm.
  • The school want to bring in teachers looking for long term roles.
  • Creating engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum whilst having good behaviour control.
  • Teachers will be expected to plan and prepare lessons as well as marking, assessing and providing feedback on the students work.
  • Teachers who are willing and able to cover other subjects would be ideal, but not necessary.
  • The ideal candidate would be willing to participate in school activities; any experience with extra curricular events or SEN would be welcome.

About the School - English teaching role - Tower Hamlets - September 19 - Catholic.

Teaching Personnel have a newly developed school bases in Tower Hamlet with new facilities aimed at broadening the schools curriculum and assisting staff. It is based in the grounds of a beautiful, old Edwardian building that has been renovated to incorporate modern buildings.

The Catholic school are looking to a English teacher with experience at KS3-4 level, with one of these positions open to graduates (a large amount of experience is not necessary for this specific role). Alongside the facilities to assist teaching the school also provide LSAs in class to ensure good behaviour and equal progress.

Ofsted have rated the school as "outstanding" and have talented and cohesive leadership. They were quote saying:

"Staff and pupils are very positive about your leadership and you have the unqualified support of governors."

"Those staff, pupils and parents who responded to the Ofsted surveys are proud of the school and its traditions; the large majority confirm that pupils are safe and happy at school."

Location

  • Tower Hamlet.

Requirements

  • A UK recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE or QTS (for teachers).
  • Graduates require a bachelor degree from an established university and some interest or a little experience working in education.
  • Teachers would require experience teaching English at secondary level (from KS3-KS4).
  • Expect an eager teacher with good behaviour control.
