Humanities Teacher – Essex

Full-Time | Long-Term or Permanent
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Required
Immediate or September Start

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Essex area. This role is ideal for a passionate educator confident in delivering engaging lessons across History, Geography and RE at KS3 and KS4.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Humanities lessons
  • Teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience)
  • Creating an inclusive and positive learning environment
  • Supporting students with diverse needs and abilities
  • Marking, assessing, and contributing to curriculum development
  • Maintaining strong behaviour management in line with school policy

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
  • Strong subject knowledge across History, Geography and/or RE
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to high‑quality teaching
  • Previous UK secondary school experience
