Humanities Teacher – Essex
Full-Time | Long-Term or Permanent
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Required
Immediate or September Start
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Essex area. This role is ideal for a passionate educator confident in delivering engaging lessons across History, Geography and RE at KS3 and KS4.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering high-quality Humanities lessons
- Teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience)
- Creating an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Supporting students with diverse needs and abilities
- Marking, assessing, and contributing to curriculum development
- Maintaining strong behaviour management in line with school policy
What We’re Looking For
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
- Strong subject knowledge across History, Geography and/or RE
- Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students
- Confident classroom and behaviour management
- Professional, reliable, and committed to high‑quality teaching
- Previous UK secondary school experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
