English Teacher - September Start

Location: Brighton | Full-Time | Long-Term with potential for permanent placement

Pay: Pay to scale - dependent on experience and pay scale

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Brighton this September. This is a full-time role on a long-term supply basis, with the potential to become a permanent position.

The Role

As an English Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Fostering a love for reading, writing, and communication in all students

  • Supporting student progress with thoughtful assessment and tailored feedback

  • Working collaboratively within a supportive English department

  • Contributing to wider school life, including enrichment and extra-curricular activities

You will need:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3/KS4)

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language

  • High expectations for student achievement and behaviour

  • A proactive, reflective and collaborative approach to teaching
