English teacher - part time

Teaching Personnel are currently working with an all girls school in Hertfordshire who are looking for an English teacher to join them on a 0.8 contract from Easter to the end of the academic year. In the last academic year their attainment 8 was over 60% with students achieving a 4+ in English and maths at over 90%.

Presdales has been graded as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in the last four inspections. The A Level results are equally impressive, with an average score of above 40 points per entry. With an intensive extra-curricular programme which offers students a chance to develop their leadership and team building skills as well as numerous trips during the year this school is a fantastic place to work set in beautiful grounds.

The English department is currently made of 8 teaching members of staff following the AQA exam board. All students are entered in the English and English literature exams at GCSE's and achieve above national average grades year on year.

The right candidate will;

- Have QTS

- experience of teaching up to KS4 however the main timetable will be KS3

- have a passion for the subject and teaching

- have a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
