English Teacher - Oldham

A partner school of Teaching Personnel are seeking an inspirational English Teacher ahead of the 2019/2020 academic year to fill an upcoming gap in the department. This Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school is located in Oldham, and the successful candidate will be employed on a temporary contract initially for the full academic year.

  • Full time Teacher of English required (September 2019 - July 2020)

  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£23,720 - £39,406)

As a popular and oversubscribed comprehensive secondary school based in Greenfield with over 1300 students currently enrolled from the surrounding areas of Mossley and Uppermill, our partner school has an excellent reputation within the local community. The school are due to move to a state of the art campus in the next 18 months, with the current building being located a short walk from a train station for those commuting.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful department with a proven track record of raising attainment of all pupils regardless of background. We would love to hear from NQTs as we run a positive and practical programme for Newly Qualified Teachers, through which we aim to facilitate and challenge the NQTs to ensure the successful completion of the induction year." As an English Teacher at our partner school, the incoming candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language and English Literature up to GCSE level, with a bespoke KS3 English curriculum being offered to the students. The role involves full planning and marking responsibilities, with most of the planning being completed collaboratively during dedicated department time. Prospective candidates should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or hold relevant teaching qualifications. Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) are encouraged to apply for this role.
