English Teacher - October

Our client secondary school located in the South Liverpool area is looking to recruit an English teacher to start with them following the October half term. This full time English teaching position is to start on Monday 4th November for the remainder of the academic year until the end of July.

As this is an upcoming maternity cover there is also the opportunity to teach at this school prior to the half term taking on a transitionary role supporting the teacher due to be going on maternity. If you are therefore available during this next half term, please make highlight this on your application. This is not essential so please apply for this English teaching role even if only available from Monday 4th November.

The successfully appointed English teacher should be experienced in teaching English up to GCSE level following the AQA syllabus. Any prior experience of developing schemes of work or own resources is highly desirable so please emphasise this within a covering statement. Applications are being encouraged from teachers of any experience level including NQTs or more experienced teachers.

This secondary school is over subscribed year on year with a long waiting list of 100 students wishing to attend in September 2019. The school is therefore the school of choice for students, parents and staff alike. As a result, there is a particular level of expectation from all stakeholders with any prospective staff expected to uphold high standards and provide excellent teaching to all students.
