THE SCHOOL:
An easily accessible school, located in Newham, East London. This inner city school offers sporting options within its extensive grounds. Since this international school of 1500 pupils (aged 11 to 16) was opened in September 2000, Ofsted have described this school as a "harmonious community in which everyone lives and breathes ... aspiration, achievement and excellence". The school has been graded "good" in its last 3 inspections. The school has also recently gained the SSAT Leading Edge Status for 2015-2016 and are the first UK school to add compulsory Mandarin lessons to the syllabus.
THE ROLE:
Based in the English department, you will be required to teach English to KS4. Planning, preparing and delivering lessons, ensuring good progress is made by all and providing interesting and stimulating lessons. You will be expected to work 5 days per week, contact time approx. 17 hours per week - the time table is still being finalised.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must hold a UK recognised teaching qualification, i.e. BSc QTS, BA QTS, CERT ED, PGCE, B.Ed Previous UK teaching experience - English to KS4 A can do/proactive attitude

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
