Teaching Personnel are working alongside their client secondary school in Manchester to source an English teacher for September to cover a maternity leave for the full academic year. This position is suitable for all levels of experience including those who have newly qualified this year.

- Full time English teaching position available

- 12 month fixed maternity cover from September

- Working at an Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school with excellent facilities

- Earn in line with your teaching scale point (ÂŁ23,720 - ÂŁ39,406 per annum)

Situated just north of the city centre, our client is a large well-established secondary comprehensive which is an integral part of a successful academy trust. With just over 1000 students currently on roll, the school is oversubscribed and one of the schools of choice in the local community with a longstanding reputation of excellence, delivering excellent results and outcomes for their students. The school boasts state of the art building and fantastic facilities and has an ethos which encompasses fairness, ambition and respect which is evident in daily life at the school.

The incoming English teacher will not only join a highly successful academy but will join a wider school network in which best practice is shared across schools to enhance teaching and learning across the local community. As this position is a 12 month maternity cover, the incoming English teacher will be responsible for planning, marking and delivering schemes of work to a KS3/4 cohort for the duration along with preparing students for end of year examinations.
