Job description

New opportunity to join a progressing secondary school with a recent track record of excellent GCSE results.

-          Full-time English teacher, required from April 2020 or earlier.

-          Teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE.

-          Pay in line with teaching scale point (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 per annum).

A large secondary academy in the Salford area is currently looking for a teacher to join their English department on an ongoing basis.

Our client academy has been noted for their welcoming staff community and culture with strong support to provide staff with the most efficient teaching methods. The incoming English teacher can expect to work with some pupils in need of extra support to increase their attainment. Both experienced and newly qualified English teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided.

The successful English teacher will be expected to;

-          Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated English lessons to meet the needs of individual learners at various levels of learning.

-          Assess and evaluate classwork and homework, reporting back to the English department in order to take appropriate action.

-          Promote positive behaviour management skills amongst pupils and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.

Our client academy is located near Worsley and can be accessed via the M61 and A580 from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Salford and central Manchester. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from surrounding areas of Manchester including Bolton and Salford.
