Are you an English specialist looking ahead to September when schools are likely to be in operation again?
A partnered secondary school in the Altrincham area of South Manchester is looking for a full time English teacher to join them from September until the Easter break to fulfil an upcoming maternity leave. This full time English teaching position is to start in September upon schools reopening (some degree of uncertainty) with the successfully appointed English specialist required to teach across both English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4 following the AQA specification.
The school are looking for an English teacher that can commit to the entirety of the maternity cover and become a member of the teaching team from the offset. Planning and marking will be key to this role with the Head of English requesting applications be passed to them for consideration before the May half term.
The successfully appointed English teacher can be of any experience level from newly qualified or more experienced in their teaching career with applications encouraged from all levels.
Highlights of this English teaching position:
- Full time English teacher required: KS3 and KS4 AQA syllabus
- Pay will be dependent upon payscale and experience; following the teacher payscale:GBP24373 - GBP40490 per day
- Payrolled on a supply basis via Teaching Personnel in the first instance
- Duration: September to Easter (maternity cover)

The school is always open to teachers of all experience levels and are open to taking on a NQT where they can support them accordingly.

The school is located a short walk away from the metrolink line and very well serviced by local buses. The school also has a large secure on site car park on site as well as fantastic facilities which are accessible to staff, students and members of the local community.
