Graduate Cover Supervisor Role

  • Graduate Cover Supervisor role- ideal for aspiring teachers
  • Close links with the English and Drama departments
  • Daily Pay rates of up to £80 (depending on experience)

A large Secondary Academy West of central Leeds are seeking to take on a full time Cover Supervisor as soon as September 2016 (however this can be flexible) on a long term basis.

The role involves supervising full classes in place of the class teacher, work is already set by the department but you are responsible for ensuring work is completed and the behaviour policy is being followed at all times. You must be confident and have excellent rapport building skills as it is likely you will be working with different pupils on a daily basis.

As part of this role you will be closely linked with the English and Drama departments so a degree in a related subject (English, Literature, Drama, Performing Arts etc.) would be an advantage but not an essential.

This role would be ideally suited to aspiring teachers, as it would provide you with an excellent insight into the role of a teacher in Secondary Schools. As you will be leading classes you must have related experience, this could be previous voluntary work or paid work in a school, youth group, sports club, etc.

You are paid on a weekly basis and pay rates could be up to £80 per day (depending on skills and experience).

As part of working through Teaching Personnel you will have access to a wide range of CPD courses to increase your skills and also boost your CV/future teaching course applications.

All candidates are subject to full vetting and reference checks. Agy.
