Job description

Part-Time English Teacher – Middle School
Location: Ferndown, Dorset
Contract: Part-Time
Start Date: After February Half Term

Are you a passionate English Teacher looking for a part-time role in a supportive and welcoming school environment? We are working closely with a number of fantastic middle schools in the Ferndown area who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed English specialist to join their team after February half term.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a teacher who enjoys inspiring a love of reading, writing and language across KS2 and KS3, while benefiting from a flexible, part-time schedule.

The role will involve:

  • Delivering engaging and well-structured English lessons

  • Supporting pupils’ literacy development and confidence in communication

  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment

  • Working collaboratively with staff to support pupil progress

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)

  • Has experience teaching English at primary or middle school level

  • Is confident, adaptable and passionate about English

  • Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
