English Teacher

Teacher of English required for September in West Cornwall

An excellent school are looking for a Teacher to start in September 2020.

About the role

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced teacher of English for a full time maternity post starting in September 2020.

We are looking for someone who is able to bring experience along with fresh ideas and passion to the job and someone who is committed to providing a good quality teaching experience. Ideally you will have some experience of teaching additional subjects such as Media or Drama alongside your specialist subject, you might be expected to cover other general subjects during your time at the School.

This school is located in West Cornwall and has built up a very positive reputation over the years. They have a commitment to providing a pleasant teaching environment in which good teachers can excel.

 

Skills

Applicants will need to have qualified teacher status in the UK, or an equivalent teaching qualification from overseas. They will need to effectively deliver the national curriculum with energy and enthusiasm. In addition applicants should possess:

  • Good classroom management skills
  • Experience of teaching English (Media/Drama) in UK schools
  • Ability to plan and carry out effective lesson plans
  • Commitment to raising standards of learning and a passion for teaching English across a wide ability range
  • High level of self motivation
  • Good organisation and interpersonal skills
