About the School

There is a community centred school seeking dedicated and passionate English teachers to join their staffing team in the new academic year. They are looking for strong teachers, but also someone who would enjoy participating in school activities, such as their social and fund-raising events. The aim is to enhance the education of their students whilst including parents, staff and supporting the family group. They also have a Sixth Form centre partnered with the school to continue the development of the students, helping them plan for further education of life after education.

The school have been rated as "good" as they maintain strong educational standards, upholding the central school values and standards. Ofsted stated:

- "the behaviour of pupils observed by inspectors was generally very good; pupils who spoke to inspectors were clear that they felt safe in school,"

- "Staff and pupils are very positive about your leadership and you have the unqualified support of governors." - report after the appointment of the new head teacher

The school is looking for teachers who adhere to their values and ambitions for student success

About the role

English Language or Literature Teacher

Ages 11-16 (KS3-5)

5 days a week

A full-time role, 8:30 - 15:30 starting in September

Engaging students with strong class participation with an aim to instil an interest in learning in line with the National Curriculum

Teachers will be expected to raise student attainment and help those who struggle

There will be an expectation to create lesson plans and mark student's work

Location

The school is accessible via Kingsbury underground (5 minute walk).

Requirements

A UK qualified English teacher (BA QTS, BSc QTS, CERT ED, PGCE)

Experience teaching English Language or Literature at secondary school (from KS3-KS4)

Expect a positive and energetic attitude
