English Medium KS2 Teacher in Caerphilly

Daily Rate: £157.66 in line with the Welsh National Framework
Location – Caerphilly CF83

Start Date- 18th December for the remainder of the academic year.

Hours- Monday-Friday (8:15am-4pm)

The Role

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a school in Caerphilly to secure a confident and experienced teacher to take full responsibility of a KS2 class, where challenging behaviour is present. The children need a patient and supportive teacher who is going to be reliable and consistent. Please see below for the role specifications:

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Delivering lessons to a high standard
  • Confidence and experience in leading the class.
  • Monitoring and developing the class progression.
  • Setting high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
  • Good and recent knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales
  • Creating good relationships with the children, their parents, and the school
  • Strong classroom management skills and demonstrate confidence when confronted with challenging behaviour.
  • Sufficient Welsh language to teach Welsh second language.
  • Ability to differentiate for a wide range of level and ability.
  • Contribute to staff meetings and parents’ evenings.
  • Participate in the school community.
  • Have a nurturing nature and the skill set to support vulnerable pupils.


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • 2 years’ experience in KS2
  • Enhanced DBS (child only) and Update Service
  • EWC registration
  • 2x Educational References
