English literature or language teacher needed in Richmond - £120-£225 a day

Interviews in next two weeks for an Easter start, apply now!

There is a position currently open for a fully qualified English teacher with experience teaching full classes in secondary schools. The school is currently looking for new teachers who hold a PGCE or QTS.

There are interviews in the next two weeks for this full time role, beginning for the Easter term.

Teachers who apply to this post must be willing to work fulltime, 5 days a week from 8:30am till 3:30pm.

Requirements

  • The incoming English teacher would need UK recognised teaching qualifications (e.g. QTS, PGCE or BEd)
  • The successful teacher will have experience teaching at KS3-5 level in secondary schools
  • NQTs would be considered for this position, provided they have strong behaviour control and feel they can hit the ground running
  • Required to Plan, Prepare, Mark and Assess students work and run catch up lessons for those who may struggle
  • The ideal candidate will have held long term English teaching roles previously

The Role

  • This English teaching role has a start date for the Easter term, with interviews commencing in the next two weeks
  • It is a full-time role; 5 days-a-week, 8:30am - 3:30pm
  • Pay range from £120-£225 a day depending on the teaching experience and qualifications
  • This position would be, at a minimum, till the end of the academic year
  • Would be expected to teach English literature or language at KS3-5 level and any extra-curricular experience would benefit the candidates the application
  • ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
    • An Enhanced Child work force DBS on the update service, or the willingness to apply for one
    • Two Educational based graded references (performance based), dated in the last 6 years
    • A full and detailed 6 year career history
    • Right to work in the UK

The School

    • The school is located near Richmond and is an 8 minute walk from Richmond station
  • This school was rated "outstanding" by Ofsted as they noted "The school's care and support for pupils is outstanding. Staff understand pupils' needs extremely well and work closely with other agencies to provide extra help, should this be needed."

  • The school are constantly looking to improve their current standing and rating. Their new head teacher and leadership are using innovative ways to improve the level education.
  • Senior leadership expect a high level of commitment for staff and students a like, and this belief in students allows them to excel through their Sixth form and onto to an adult life

This brilliant opportunity has a start date in Easter until the end of the academic year, at a minimum.
