Position: English Intervention Specialist

Location: Tameside Area

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary

Start Date: Immediate

The Role:

As an English Intervention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting students who require additional assistance in English. You will work closely with individuals and small groups to deliver tailored interventions aimed at improving literacy skills, comprehension, and overall academic performance. Your dedication and expertise will help students overcome challenges and achieve success in English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement targeted interventions to address the specific needs of students in English.
  • Assess student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff members to provide coordinated support for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and areas for development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Specialization in English or related subject area.
  • Proven experience delivering effective interventions to support student learning and progress.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
