English Graduate – South Liverpool

Are you an English graduate who is looking to pursue a career within the education sector?

Are you a recent graduate or have just graduated this year and are looking to gain valuable experience within a secondary school setting?

A Catholic High School which is a larger than average secondary school in the South Liverpool area is looking to recruit an English subject graduate to work within their English department. The successful English graduate will be providing vital Literacy intervention and English support to those students in year 7 – year 10. This will be specifically planned as catch up intervention supporting those students who are behind in their learning due to the national closures.

Important points of this English graduate position:

  • Pay range which equates to GBP65 per day depending on experience, ability and hours required (GBP1300 per month)
  • Full time English graduate required
  • Gain valuable experience within a secondary school setting
  • Ideal experience and knowledge gained which would support a future teacher application onto a PGCE for example

The role of the English graduate would be supporting students within a classroom setting, assisting lower level students with spelling and reading and writing. There is also the possibility of supporting older GCSE level students with poetry and creative writing.

The successful graduate of the English faculty would also be supporting students on a 1:1 basis with their English work and gain the experience of working in small groups leading your own work and teaching in a small capacity.

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Liverpool, this particular school caters for pupils aged 11-18 working towards and achieving GCSE results, and has a sixth form attached. The school was awarded “Good with Outstanding Leadership” during their most recent OFSTED in 2017 and continue to strive towards outstanding.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
