Future Teachers - English Graduates - September 2019
If you are a graduate already considering a career in teaching, Teaching Personnel have the ideal opportunity for you following the completion of your degree.
Teaching Personnel are offering graduates work in schools as part of a Future Teachers Programme from September 2019.
Applicants must be educated up to degree level and be available on a full time basis following the summer holidays.
What is our Future Teachers Programme?
Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit graduates wishing to pursue a career in teaching. If you are considering a career as a Secondary School English teacher in the future, but firstly want to gain further experience working within schools, this is ideal opportunity to gain the necessary experience, skills and confidence to prepare you for teacher training.
This programme will provide a valuable insight into the role of a qualified teacher to help you decide if this is the career for you, before beginning initial teacher training with one of our partner schools.
Successful applicants will secure a full-time paid post, with the opportunity to gain up to £1300 per month.
Steps to beginning your teacher training…
The Future Teachers Programme is designed to be the bridge towards your teacher training. Teaching Personnel will initially provide successful applicants with a graduate teaching assistant role or cover supervisor role within one of our clients for up to 12 months starting in September 2019. Following successful completion of this placement, you will have the opportunity to join the schools' centred initial teacher training programme from September 2020.
What will be involved within this programme?
Your roles and responsibilities will vary based on the type of school you are placed at. However, you can expect to:
- Carry out several classroom/lesson observations to experience varying teaching styles
- Provide support as a teaching assistant within your subject specialist department
- Help build resources within Key Stage to enhance pupils learning
- Judge the learning outcomes of pupils and monitor pupils progress
- Provide small group and one-to-one tuition to help raise pupil attainment
- Support pupils with coursework and project work
- Provide cover supervision in the absence of class teachers
Interested graduates are encouraged to apply ASAP by sending a CV via the link below for immediate consideration, or contact the East Midlands Secondary Branch for more information.
