English and Maths tuition role. Working outside the classroom on the Yorkshire East Coast.

Tutors outside the classroom can earn £25 an hour if they have strong experience working with SEMH and pastoral needs. Knowledge of the Maths and English curriculum at KS3 and above is required but you don’t have to be a Maths or English teacher. Education settings include the home, libraries and public work spaces between Withernsea and Bridlington.

1:1 referrals are around 10 hours on average.

What are we looking for in a Maths and English tutor?

  • Experience of teaching English or working with children within the subject.
  • Range of experience working with children in different settings.
  • Ability to develop effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Apply skills to help children catch up and progress with their learning.
  • Able to track progress and plan next steps in children’s learning.

To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of this as skills and experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
