English teacher – Chiswick

A Catholic secondary school are recruiting in the English department for a teacher with experience teaching English literature or language up to key stage 5. Teaching Personnel are recruiting full qualified teachers for client schools throughout London and this specific client school are seeking an English teacher available to travel to Chiswick for a full time position.

Teaching Personnel are working with schools around London, and have a recruitment partnership with the Southwark and Brentwood Catholic Diocese, and many others around the country. As such Teaching Personnel have a strong relationship with the Catholic school in question, and as a result have several teaching opportunities available.

  • Full Qualified English teacher with a PGCE or QTS

  • Salary inline with the Inner London MPS/UPS pay scale; GBP33,741 to 49,571 (M3 to U3)

  • Full time teaching position starting on the 28th of October till July 2020 (with an option to go permanent for the 2020/2021 academic year)

  • Catholic secondary school in Chiswick, consistently been graded ‘good’ by Ofsted for the past 10 years

 

The successful English teacher will hold a UK recognised teaching qualification and have experience teaching English at secondary school level (KS3 to KS5). Teachers must be able to fulfil the below requirements

  • Available for a full time position

  • Able to start on the 28th of October till the end of the 2019/20 academic year

  • Can travel to Chiswick on a daily basis

  • Holds, or has previously held, an enhanced DBS

  • 6 year career history with two educational based references

The English department consistently produces the best results of all subjects at the school and the Head of English is looking for an English teacher with a passion for teaching. A strong subject knowledge is the most sought after character of a teacher, but the senior leadership would like to meet a teacher who is creative with their English lessons.
