Engagement Tutor

Job description

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one tuition sessions to students
  • Plan and deliver engaging sessions tailored to individual student needs
  • Build strong rapport with students and create a positive learning environment
  • Identify and adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Develop and implement strategies to motivate and engage students
  • Encourage student participation and active learning during sessions
  • Identify and address any learning difficulties or barriers to engagement
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other relevant stakeholders to support student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant subject
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching
  • Ability to work one-to-one with students

Other suitable Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant (TA) PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience in delivering tuition to students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Tuition experience
  • Ability to work one-to-one with students
  • Hard working and dedicated
  • Resilient and able to adapt to different student needs
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging sessions
  • Provide constructive feedback to students
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Build strong rapports with students
  • Identify and cater to students' interests

Working Conditions:

The engagement tutor will work with students on a one-to-one basis, either in-person or through online platforms. The working hours will be determined based on the availability of the tutor and the students. The tutor will be responsible for creating a conducive learning environment and ensuring the safety and well-being of the students during the sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
